Eigentlich bin ich schon auf dem Weg nach Berlin, check aber grad noch einmal meine mails - und fand das hier:
Well it's 3 am and I just woke up, cant sleep. Being on vacation for a month is far from ordinary... Everyday, is a new day, in a new city, struggling with a new language, and having nothing to do, but kick back, relax, wander around looking at castles and stuff and then party time! (personally my favorite time of day).
Getting from Barcelona to Rome was hell.. Seemingly it's not a very hard trip, but then again, leaving Spain is not easy.. mainly because of all the drink specials. Last night I tried drinking 'Absente' with some of my spanish friends. Legend has it, when you drink this drink you begin to see green fairies... I thought i was a bunch of bs, but sure enough... green fairies.
Europe is a crazy different world. I wish i could share all the highs and lows but there is just to much.. Mostly highs, which is cool.
here is a bit about each place Ive been to..
Amsterdam.Holland,,, I was pretty high, but from what I determined, everyone rides bikes or drives a little car that steers with handle bars and someone could tip over with one arm.. and walking in the red light district is the best free show i have ever seen.
Hamburg.Germany,,, Germans must genetically have some sort a anatomy that does not need water. They drink beer. and then they drink beer. and then they brush their teeth with beer. One night we partied at the discos until 6 am, and then went to a morning fish market, which turned out to have a live band at sunrise and was just another excuse to party..And I was wondering why were staying up all night to go to a fish market... Hamburg was cool, the city had some major air raids in the second world war and you can see where the bombs landed by the new and old construction there today.
Copenhagen.Denmark,,, Danish sounds like dutch. thats what I figured out. And I met alot of dutch in denmark.. and I was talk soem very wise dutch words "nueken en de Keucken", please, use those freely when you meet a dutch person. They also ride alot of bikes in denmark.
Paris.France,,, such good food.. bakeries everywhere.. castles look unreal at night.. very stylish, I think you would get thrown in jail if you wore a hoodie and sweat pants,, it just doesnt fit. the hostels suck, but the city made up for it.
Bordeaux.France,,, drank so much red wine, I dont even know. (bordeaux is famous for its red wines)
Barcelona.Spain,,, where to start.. It must be the land of big sunglasses, like covering 50% of your face big. So, I gave in a bought a pair too... Goudi,, Goudi is everywhere, Goudi is Barcelona. He was a guy that designed surreal fairy tale type cathedrals and huge mosaics everywhere in Barcelona. Its a must see thing. One day I tried hiking up a hill to get to the castle on top and after 2 hours I ended up at a dead end with a bunch of wild pigs (about 3 feet tall) running around, then, feeling kind of threatened i hesitated to pet them.. When I turned around to walk back I noticed about 100 cats on my way back. There would be like 5 or 6 cats on the railing of any given house. they would all stare at you, it was wierd. In the night time Barcelona has about a million bars in every little alley, nook, and cranny.. seriously they appear out of nowhere. The nightlife was so cool... One girl we were with got her purse stolen, and the guy that stole was a pro. If she was holding her purse closer to her body and tighter it would not have happened (just so you know).
Pisa.Italy,,,I ate pizza in Pisa. It was really good.
Now, here I am in Rome.. Just got here. The hostel Im at is definitly a party hostel that never sleeps. There is actually a party going on right behind me, and I must get a beer.
I hope all is well with YALL (as so many of the americans I have met say), Ciao!
Das musste ich jetzt mal teilen!
So, und jetzt müssen nur noch Jo und ihr Frisör fertig werden und ab geht's auf die 24. Nice weekend.
